LU Cleantech’s investments will primarily focus on four segments:
- Energy efficiency, generation and storage
- Advanced functional materials (e.g. nanotechnology)
- Water technology
- Biobased transport fuels and raw materials for industrial use
These segments represent areas with strong global demand and a broad spectrum of exciting investment opportunities. They also reflect the core expertise and scientific strengths of Lund University. The university has been at the front position of cleantech for a long time and is today one of the foremost R&D centers in Europe generating a continuous flow of new companies with unique technologies of commercial potential.
