Cleantech is a diversified area with a large commercial potential, although with limited experiences of investments in the area. LU Cleantech has the technical competence needed to understand the technological possibilities, combined with extensive expertise in commercial processes and capitalization of business.
Expertise is crucial to provide an active ownership as well as credible and individual involvement in the portfolio companies we invest in. With more than 20 years experience in the development and commercialization of technology within the cleantech sector, my goal is to exceed the goals we have set out.
I have had the privilege, during the 90’s and most of 2000’s, to lead international industry consortia with focus on developing and commercializing new technologies in energy and environmental technology. The experience and networks built up, will form a valuable foundation for my leadership of LU Cleantech.
LU Cleantech has, with its ties to Lund University, a unique position for access to cutting-edge technologies from academic research and the surrounding environment. The university has an outstanding track record in research, innovation and entrepreneurship. This gives LU Cleantech a great advantage and, hopefully, it will be confirmed in good capital-and knowledge-based growth, as well as a contribution to a paradigm shift based on smart high-tech.
